jQuery input validation [on hold]

I have a lot of text inputs in a form and I must only allow the user to input write from 0 to 20 characters in each input. If the user writes from 0 to 20 characters, the form is valid. Otherwise, the user will be notified that he didn't respect the conditions. I need to do this in jQuery. If someone knows how to do this please help.
