I recently created a Google Form and Spreadsheet for our company to use as an online Stores Requisition system. In the form, a user will enter a part number and a quantity that they require from stores - this generally works well. However, some of our part numbers have been given (rather foolishly, in my opinion) formats similar to the following:
91130E3
When this is submitted through the Google Form and recorded in the response table, it is treated as a number and given a scientific format:
9.113E+07
Which is nothing like the original part number. I have researched this extensively and have only found the suggestion that I should format the response table cells prior to form submission. I have tried this and the part numbers still come through in scientific format.
Any ideas as to how I can ensure that any new entries are recorded in Plain Text format?
