Can I add e-signatures to my HTML form?

I was wondering, if possible, if I could capture a persons' signature in a field inside the form using something like an electronic signature capture pad or a pen for touch screens, or if there is a better option. I use PHP to handle information sent by the form. This is my first time dealing with e-signatures so I am fairly ignorant in the topic
